• Can I import Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 projects into Adobe Captivate 5?
You can import projects created in PowerPoint 2007 in the PPTX format, as well as the PPT format, into Adobe Captivate 5. You can also edit PowerPoint content in Adobe Captivate and keep the projects in sync.
• How does Adobe Captivate 5 compare with other screen recording tools (such as Camtasia)?
Adobe Captivate 5 lets you generate robust software simulations with multiple learning modes in a single recording session. These include demonstrations and interactive simulations for practice and assessment. The recording appears as a series of individual slides, and you can easily edit auto-generated text captions, highlight boxes, audio, mouse paths, and even the captured images.
• What international language support exists for Adobe Captivate 5?
Adobe Captivate 5 supports Unicode and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Korean versions. All editions include a completely localized user interface and documentation. The AutoText Captions feature automatically generates caption text in Chinese (Simplified), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish. Authors can customize the AutoText caption file to support additional languages.
• Is Adobe Captivate 5 compatible with Microsoft® Windows® 7?
Yes. Adobe Captivate 5 is certified for 32-bit editions of Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 3 recommended); Windows Vista® Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise with Service Pack 1; and Windows 7.
• Is Adobe Captivate 5 available for the Mac OS?
Yes. Adobe Captivate 5 is now available for the Mac OS (Mac OS X v10.5.7) running on a multicore Intel® processor.

*Concurrent Licenses allow you to license only those computers in a lab situation that would be used at any one time.  Example: A lab contains 50 computers... if only 35 computers are ever used at one time, then you may purchase 35 concurrent licenses and load the program on all 50 computers.  If, however, a 36th person uses that program at any one time, you would be out of compliance with the license agreement.  This type of license is rarely purchased, but it could save money if you are certain that only a limited number of machines will be used at any one time in a computer lab.

**Maintenance gives the customer unlimited upgrades until the date indicated.  Maintenance should be ordered in an equal quantity as the license order, although this is not mandatory.   For Adobe CLP contract orders, all maintenance expires on the same date and the prices are prorated accordingly.
